A day with TV

Do we still consider TV as the idiot box?

Being affected by the current economy and sitting idle without a job. Thought to dedicate a day to TV. Hmm I just did not realise that time just flies by when you are in front of it.

Early morning at around 8:00am I switched on the Idiot Box for some magical fun. Yeah literally. There is this show called

"Charmed"

about these 3 sisters "witches" and their everyday life along side with demons, goblins and angels. Its from 8:00-10:00am yeah 2 hrs of magic fun. From 10:00-11:00am

Ellen degeners Talk Show..

I hope I got her name right. Man she was entertaining with her tiny little game shows and her guest being themselves without any dialogue delivery. Was fun to watch her bring out the best in people. 11:00am came, time for some surfing so was switching back and forth with

"the view"
ie Barbara, Whoopi and three other girls talk about current affairs and have a guest who is involved with them,
"MTV"
some ongoing latest songs. Oh Now am a fan of Ne-Yo 'Miss Independant" and Lady Gaga " Just Dance". At 12:00 time for some family values

"Full house"

A serial about a father raising his 3 daughters by taking help of his best friend Joey and his cool dude brother-in-law Uncle Jesse. its about an hour. So after an hour of Full-House, being all touched and conscious about not giving my time to family called up my sister, mother and husband. So that was the break I took to cook, clean, talk and eat.

At 2:00 I was back. Now it was time for more magic. Since childhood I was into Archie-comics and there is a character in that series called

"Sabrina - the teenage witch"

who has magical powers. Based on that cartoon character there is a TV show which airs from 2:00-3:00pm. Its all about this teenager Sabrina who has to manage her day to day life with learning magic at home, learning physics, math etc at her school, boy friend and cheerleaders whom she detests. 3:00 -4:00pm was time for some news

CNN, FOX and BBC-news.
Here I got to know that a)Mr US elected President Obama should not carry his blackberry after he gets into the whitehouse for some security purposes, b)California fires are doing a great deal of damage, c)Automobile Giants GM, Ford and Chrysler want to be bailed our or else 13 million jobs are at stake and d)Weather will get further cold. After this heavy feeding on news thought to check entertainment again 4:00-5:00

"what I like about you"

is about these sisters Jenni Garth and Amanda Bynes where Jenni is in her late 20's who is looking for love and managing career at the same time and Amanda is a teenager who is going to school and having petty fights with her friends and boy friends. After that light comedy time for some kicking demon butt. Yes-

Charmed

again 5:00 to 6:00.

6:00-7:00 "Everybody Loves Raymond"

a comedy serial. Sometimes I can relate to my ownlife. Its about this Goofed up sweet character Raymond ,his wife Debra and 3 kinds, Raymond's mother Marie (character in herself), dad and Raymond's brother who is jealous of Ray for everything that he is. 7:00-8:00 Sienfeld. Oh man this is so hilarious. Its about this guy Jerry Sienfeld and his 3 unique friends and their life. I cant say much about this cause anything I say would be too little and wont do justice to the show.

8:00 - 9:00 Family Guy.

What can I say hahahahaha.. You should watch it to understand what I was saying. Its about this Fat Guy named Peter and his funny family.. Love the baby Stewie in this series. Hmm

9:00 to 11:00 watch news,

cook, all together. a)Learnt if the automobile idustry is not bailed put the amount of people coming out will be equal to people living in Kentucky, North Carolina and hmmmmm " fill in blank" . b)Economy just going down, Obama saying that he will do something with the economy in 100 days. c)Stock marker falling crazily. Sadest story was a second hand crysler being sold for $1. d)8yr old involved in killing and again e)weather "COLD".

11:00pm exhausted. What did I do all day? Just watched some TV. But still managed to watch

Sienfeld and Family Guy

together till 11:30pm. By this time my eyes are sore so fell asleep on the couch.

Today morning woke up. All refreshed and thought should I do it again. Do I have it in me? Naah. But one thing changed ie my opinion towards TV. Not an idiot box but a Friend :)because it taught me family values, entertained me for so long, told me about current affairs soooo am I wrong here?
